We were the first in Lithuania to start working with the Odoo business management system, and today we are proud to have successfully delivered more than 200 projects. One of them, which we would like to present in more detail, is the implementation of the latest version of Odoo for the GTV Trading group. The project helped effectively resolve operational challenges that had been preventing the client from achieving key business goals.
GTV Trading is part of the GTV group and has been engaged in automotive parts trading since 2005. The company’s main physical branch is located in Vilnius, but through well-known e-commerce channels such as eBay and Amazon, customers worldwide can purchase the required car parts from the company’s online store. In addition to delivery to the customer’s specified location, products are also sold on-site. The company currently employs around 40 people.
After receiving the client’s enquiry, we first learned that Odoo, as a sales, accounting, and warehouse management system, was not new to the company. The business management system had already been implemented by another provider and used for some time. However, it not only failed to meet expectations but also caused dissatisfaction due to recurring issues such as incorrect product ordering, inaccurate inventory balances, and related problems.
These challenges were not only causing financial losses but also posed a real risk to one of the company’s key objectives: ensuring a consistently positive customer experience. The client therefore needed a reliable and experienced Odoo partner capable of resolving the existing issues and proposing the most effective solutions for their specific situation.
The first step taken by Sandas business management system specialists was a detailed analysis of GTV Trading’s operational processes to ensure that the Odoo solution would deliver maximum value. One of the main technical challenges we prepared for from the outset was the need to ensure smooth system performance across all areas, from purchasing and sales to warehouse operations, given the scale of approximately 14 million products.
Based on the findings, metadata was structured according to Odoo standards, and standard solutions were proposed for goods receiving and picking processes, as well as product card management. The latest version of the Odoo business management system was then implemented.
As the Odoo partner for the GTV Trading group, we at Sandas are pleased that after implementing the latest software version and configuring the most suitable modules, the business management system has become an effective tool in supporting the company’s key objectives. Most importantly, it helps deliver a positive customer experience by ensuring not only access to the required high-quality automotive parts but also a smooth service process from order placement to delivery.
Below are the key results achieved after implementing the latest version of Odoo and applying the appropriate technical solutions.
